1145 - 1175...1180; not named by Rieger (1987) 1993 as a "fantôme"; contemporary of Peire d'Alvernhe (E de S is roasted in {323,11} v.61) and of Garin le Brun, who addressed one poem to him {163,1}, v.52; CC lists fo this poet: 1 tenso with Guilhem Gausmar; Audiau 1922:18n4 "l'identification d'Eble d'U avec Eble de Saignas "soutenue par Zenker (Lieder Peires von Auvergne, p.202), Jeanroy (La Tenson provençale, in A M 2:295), Pakscher et Schultz-Gora, et adoptée par Carstens, a été énergiquement combattue par Appel (Literaturblatt f. rom.
